As Special Event Consultants to Orange County Great Park, Flying Bull was there in December 2011 when the Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon and XPO RFP was presented to the Park.

We helped create the RFP response, site plan and budget for the winning proposal. 

The City of Irvine beat out 19 other cities for the honor of hosting the Solar Decathlon. Flying Bull Inc. acted as Special Event Consultants during the early production planning phases and eventually was named as the production company of record for this unique event.

In addition we were awarded contracts to produce ancillary events within the Solar Decathlon such as the Toyota Ride and Drive, Bosch E-Bike Experience,  The National Renewable Energy Laboratory's site support and logistics and multiple associated corporate receptions and parties.

Flying Bull Inc. production teams worked on this event for two years including 30 days on site to accommodate the solar home build phase leading into eight public show days. This event drew 64,000 attendees and was heralded as a complete success by the Department of Energy, National Renewable Laboratory, Orange County Great Park and the City of Irvine.
