SITE MANAGEMENT

In 2006 the City of Irvine took possession of 1350 acres of the former Marine Corp Air Station El Toro. The City fully intended to rip up the 10 million square feet of runways and build the park but for many reasons that could not be accomplished. We handed them a solution that would generate revenue and yet not encumber the property. This solution allowed the City of Irvine the ability to proceed with their development plans at any time. The resulting Orange County Great Park Rental Program has been in business since 2006 and is currently generating $800,000 per year. 

 

Since the creation of the City of Irvine's Great Park Site Rental Program Flying Bull Inc. has helped the Park direct marketing, website management, application process, approval process, contracting, scheduling, event production, site management, traffic management, special event permitting and post event reporting.

 

SERVICES PROVIDED

 

  • Creation of a site rental web site - We built a site rental website for the Orange County Great Park rental program. This web site acts as the main information center and as the funnel for rental requests for the entire 1,350 acre venue. The Orange County Great Park, having integrated the former Marine Corp Air Station El Toro, now stands as the largest rentable paved venue in the US! Please check out the site rental website (http://rent.ocgp.org)

  • Online application hub – Potential renters can fill out the simple on-line rental application in order to get the ball rolling with the parks contracting authority.

  • Creation of detailed site maps - We have created detailed site maps of this 1,350 acre venue that are available for download by renters for use in planning their events.

  • Marketing – Flying Bull Inc. has marketed this site as an event venue for festivals and fairs, charity walk events, automotive events, concert venue, corporate event and wedding venue as well as a location for TV shows and movies including Top Gear, MTV Jessie James is a Dead Man, Redline Movie. This has been a popular site for for TV commercials too numerous to mention here.
